Wind-induced Vibration control of long span transmission tower-line system was studied in this paper.According to the motion equation of single degree of freedom system with suspended mass pendulum
the control motion equation of transmission tower with suspended mass pendulums was derived.The tower
the insulator and the transmission line were simulated accurately by the beam element
rod element and catenary cable element
respectively.Three-dimensional finite element calculation model of long span transmission tower-line system considering the geometrical nonlinearity of transmission line was established
and its dynamic characteristics were calculated.The simulation of suspended mass pendulum and choice of its parameters value were introduced.Based on harmonic wave superimposing method
fluctuating wind velocity time history was simulated.Wind-induced vibration control effects of transmission tower and long span transmission tower-line system were analyzed
respectively.The results show that the suspended mass pendulum could reduce the response of the transmission tower-line system
and the method can give a reference to practice engineering application.
