The carbon fiber sheet(CFS)-strengthened concrete beams with end restraints were chosen for high temperature response analysis
and the effects of some parameters
such as axial/rotational restraint ratio
sectional dimensions
span
load ratio
strengthening ratio
reinforcement ratio
thickness of concrete cover
and thickness of fire-proof coating etc
on axial force of the restrained RC beams exposed to ISO834 standard fire environment were analyzed.Based on the extensive simulation results
a practical calculation method for axial force in the restrained beams subjected to fire was proposed.The resuts show that:(1) for the axially-and-rotationally end restrained beams in fire
as temperature-rising time increases the axial force ratio increases gradually at first and then starts to flatten out or decreases;and(2) the axial force in the restrained beams strengthened with CFS and with fire-proof coating is quite different from that without fire-proof coating
even in the case that the thickness of the fire-proof coating is only 10 mm.
