Considering the similitude ratio of model test and the stress coordination between piles and soil
40 groups(there are 6 specimens in a group)cylindrical model concrete specimens were made of mechine-made sand
river sand
cement
stone powder and etc. These specimens have low-strength and low-elastic modulus. The tests show that the model concrete has similar stress-strain curves and failure modes to the prototype. So the model concrete can be used to simulate the elastic and elasto-plastic deformation of the prototype.Uniaxial compressive strengths and elastic moduli of model concrete will change in a considerable range with different sand ratios and different stone power replacements. But the discreteness of uniaxial compressive strengths and elastic moduli of specimens with the same mixing proportion is small if the sand ratio is relative suitable.Model concrete which has stable mechanical parameters in a wide range of adjustment can meet the requirements of different scale model tests.
