In order to improve the damage sensitivity and noise robustness of the damage location identification methods based on modal parameters
multi-source information fusion technique is imported into structural damage location identification for main girder of Sutong Bridge.D-S evidence theory is used for data fusion of modal flexibility and modal strain energy.Through numerical simulations of flat steel box girder of Sutong Bridge
the damage location identification effects using data fusion method is discussed in detail.The results reveal that(1) the proposed method is sensitive to damage and can identify structural initial damage only with less low-order modes;(2) the method can identify initial damage of steel box girder efficiently in strong noise environment
