the large-scale finite element software——ANSYS/LSDYNA
and its parallel computing function were used to analyze the earthquake response of a large-span cable-stayed bridge with soil-structure interaction.Meanwhile
the material nonlinearity of concrete
soils and cables was considered in the finite element analysis. The results are as following: First
internal forces are less in the case of material nonlinearity than those in the pure flexible study
which is due to energy dissipation at plastic stage;second
the displacement was larger in the case of material nonlinearity than those in the pure flexible study
that is because stiffness reduction at plastic stage.
