Abstract
There exist some imperfections in the current GIS based earthquake disaster mitigation systems that make them less efficient
thus it is very important for seismologists to develop a new system based on the updated computer technology.The WebGIS and AI based urban earthquake disaster mitigation information manage and decision support system is introduced in this paper in some details.Firstly
the GML based three-layer B/S architecture of the earthquake disaster mitigation WebGIS is described
which is divided into client
server and database and developed using ArcIMS as a development platform.In the database layer
the GML based geography spatial data model is built.The spatial data is represented using GML.It is easy for the heterogeneous data to be shared.Secondly
the multi-agent based decision support system is introduced
which is an important part of the earthquake disaster mitigation system.The agents include cooperation agent
