under the condition of only known initial velocity of impact body
the dynamic response of square RC slabs on a viscoelastic foudation under low velocity impact is investigated in this paper.Slabs under low velocity impact fail because of overall dynamic response
essentially differing from local damage under high velocity impact.In calculating RC slabs subjected to low velocity impact
the effect of local damage will be taken into account when the integral bending deformation is mainly analyzed.In this paper
by establishing the model for relationship between local deformation and integral bending deformation
the formulae for displacement and impact force are deduced
and the influence of viscoelastic foundation on results is also discussed with an example.
