The system by residents′ self-mitigating of disaster is a basic form to control geohazards in the vast rural areas of China.It is established consciously and improved continuously by three levels of governments to include county

towns and villages.This system is of superiority to mitigate disasters in real time with high efficiency.The work procedure of it consists of six steps to control geo-hazards

i.e."self-understanding

self-monitoring

self-early-warning

selfpreparing response

self-meeting an emergency and self-giving treatment to the die and wounded people in danger landslide or debris accidents".Author determines that "system by residents′ self-mitigating of geo-hazards" is an important part of national strategy for geo-hazards mitigation in China.
