Conventional weapons or earthquake will easily cause serious damages to personnel and facilities in protective structures without shock insulation. Thus
studies on isolation systems would be of considerable importance. However
at the present time
most isolation systems are designed based on linear isolation theory
which are actually working under nonlinear condition. To meet these demands
a most typical nonlinear rigidity system
i.e.
exponential-rigidity isolation system has been put forward which can represent the soft or hard characteristics of materials or components for shock insulation by changing the sign of single parameter. Through the analysis of isolation properties on the basis of the mathematical model with the effect of accelerating shocks in the nearby and far range under nuclear explosion
it proves that the rigidity characteristic of the system has a great effect on isolation properties.
