The orthotropic plate is widely used in engineering architecture
such as reinforced concrete plate
reinforced rib plate
and corrugated sheeting. Many numerical calculations are used to calculate orthotropic plate in project design. In this paper
the bending problem of reinforced concrete plate is analyzed. This style of reinforced concrete plate shows light anisotropy because of different reinforcement ratio in bilateral direction. Generally it is regarded as homogenous orthotropic plate
and with the quantity of bilateral direction reinforcement ratio its main rigidity is decided. To solve familiar bending problems of reinforced concrete plate in actual project
the coordinate transformation method is used in this paper to convert bending problem of reinforced concrete plate to isotropic plate. According to virtual work principle of elastic thin plate and minimal square error method
the deflection of original orthotropic thin plate problems is obtained. This method is a half-numerical and half-analytic method. Though the precision is not better than analytic value
when the approximate function is rational
the results show the advantages of this method in simplicity
